Peace Pathways

There are so many ways to get involved in the Wales for Peace Project, wherever you are in Wales and whatever your interests. Get started here and make your own 'Peace Pathway' through the proejct and beyond.

  • Research pathway: Investigate Wales' Peace Heritage - from local peace heroes to soldiers' stories to national monuments.
  • Share pathway: Share your heritage stories stories as well as views and ideas about peace today and in the future.
  • Volunteer pathway: Get involved in all aspects of delivering the Wales for Peace project from events management to coordinating other local volunteers.


Is there a peace builder or soldier in your community that you want to find out more about? Coming soon, peace heritage training days, guidelines on completing research and volunteer champions near you. Watch this space.

Sharing local project activity

Contact any member of the Wales for Peace team so they can help you to add to the Peace Map:

  • A peace/peace-related organisation or group. Contact your local Wales for Peace team member to add your organisation. 
  • Wales for Peace volunteer activity
  • A peace/peace-themed event or activity


All available volunteer roles are on our volunteering portal. These include:

  • Volunteer champions - come on a Peace Heritage Training day then share your learning with your community and coordinate others to research and share stories. Sign up for the next peace heritage training day (coming soon). 
  • School Assembly volunteers - get full training to deliver peace assemblies in schools across Wales
  • Website and communications volunteers - edit enewsletters and update the website
  • Office volunteers - experience a range of tasks from research to administration to communications
  • Event volunteers - photography, videos, meet and greet, running activities - we have lots of opportunities to try 
  • Work experience placements - 1-2 week opportunities to sample a range of tasks across the project
