Welcome to the Wales for Peace Learning Portal

Between 2015 and 2018 we will bring into one place exciting education resources related to Wales' peace heritage linked to the Welsh national curriculum, literacy and numeracy, ESDGC and the Welsh Bac.

But we don't want to do this on our own! We hope that as many school and community groups as possible will get involved in researching and sharing stories about how Welsh people have been affected by war, and how they have worked for peace. We are looking forward to discovering these stories, and considering what they mean for us today and for the future. If you are interested in developing materials linked to Wales' peace heritage, or if you are aware of any materials you would like to add to this site, please contact Jane Harries, the Learning Coordinator, at janeharries@wcia.org.uk.

All learning resources will be linked to the Welsh national curriculum. To see how the Wales for Peace project relates to different areas of the curriculum, look at our curriculum mapping document.

A number of resources which enable schools to explore peace-related themes already exist. Some free downloadable resources are listed here.
