Learning Events and Workshops

WCIA's Wales for Peace team and partners offer a range of events and workshop activities for schools from primary to further education - from bespoke in-school sessions by WCIA's education services, to young people's conferences and awards and CPD training for teachers. 


'Peace Now' School Workshops

WCIA and CEWC can deliver a range of paid workshops, projects or sessional days in schools throughout Wales, as well as teacher training to make the most of our resources from Debating Competitions to 'Changemakers'. More

Young People Voicing Peace

WCIA are organising our 4th national 'Peace Schools' conference on 20 Sept 2017, to coincide with the 14-18NOW Poppies Weeping Window and “Women, War and Peace” Exhibitions in the Senedd. More

Young Peacemakers 2017

In Autumn 2017, WCIA will be celebrating young people who have contributed to peace in their school / community in a variety of ways, and showcasing their work across Wales.  More

Peace Schools Scheme

One of the longer-term aims of the Wales for Peace project is to create a ‘Peace Schools Scheme’ for Wales. We can offer CPD sessions for teachers and schools to join this exciting journey. More

Schools Conference 2016 - Short Film

We aim to make all WCIA schools events as participatory and youth-led as possible. Put together by Llinos Griffin from Gwefus, this short film captures some of the creativity and energy unleashed from young people involved with WCIA's WW1 'Peace in Action' Schools conference in November 2016.
